Last weekend, Danielle and I discussed possibilities for providing more wall surface area in the classrooms, as suggested in our review. We also decided that we want to separate the four small schools in our building while still providing shared common spaces and connections between the schools. This led to an idea about imagining the four schools as cone-like shapes, varying in height, size and angle depending on their location on the site in order to optimize sunlight exposure. We pictured the central common space as an inverted cone. With help from Karl, we realized that there are a lot of posibilities for this idea if we built it in Digital Project. Now we are working on varitions using two sketches that drive the shape of the cones.
